Meet Pete! This 23 year old, sound, healthy sweet spotted saddle/TN walker, 16 hand gelding is a smidge of a harder keeper than his brother, Gunner, but he would absolutely love to find a home where his brother could watch him get the extra yummy meals forever! Hear what his loving owner has to say, “Pete' is literally an amazing horse. I've had him since he was 3 and he's been a pet to us all since. He has had a very pampered and easy life and acts more like a dog than a horse. Always following us around the pasture and curious what we are up to. Has lived in harmony with kids, chickens, dogs, and currently a deer that decided he was going to join our herd here. Pete is the most gentle and curious animal and always has been. He loves to share a beer with my husband, but his absolute favorite treat is watermelon! We have made the terribly difficult decision to move off of our farm to get into the city to be closer to my kids' school, my work, etc. I will board him elsewhere before I let him go to a home that isn't perfect. He deserves to be loved on and I know he'd bring another family such joy. I'd give anything to see him go with his "brother" 'Gunner' who he's been inseparable with for 14 years. He is lightly ridable by Beginner Rider. Pete is a 'harder keeper' than our other TN Walker. He has always been lean. We separate him to feed him daily (beet pulp mixed with senior feed). Admittedly, our pasture hasn't been maintained as well as possible, and we are on small acreage....so Pete is fed hay year-round.  With more access to fresh grass, I know he'd fill out!”
