The horses listed here are available either through Hope for Horses adoption or through our Horse Match program.
Wednesday
Wednesday is a sweet, affectionate mare ready to be a forever companion. Calm and well-mannered with geldings and mares, she fits easily into established or mixed herds. Wednesday is a sweat heart and enjoys seeing what you’re up to. At only 16 and an Arabian cross, she has a lot of life left to give.
Cookie
Meet Cookie — a 31-year-old, kind-hearted, healthy old lady who deserves a gentle, loving retirement. She spent her life giving her best to people who cared for her; she loved her former home deeply. After Hurricane Helene destroyed her barn and farm, Cookie and her herd mates came back to us. Now she needs a family to offer safety, comfort, and steady companionship for her final chapter. Cookie is calm, affectionate, and delights in quiet, steady attention. At 31, Cookie remains sound and enjoys the leisurely life. Cookie has already faced loss and upheaval. She asks only for a peaceful, devoted final home — a place where she can be cherished every day. Give Cookie the dignified, loving retirement she hopes for.
Mystique
Mystique — 15-year-old bay Paint mare
Mystique is a lovely, steady mare who’s ready to find a quiet, loving forever home. At 15 years old, she is no longer rideable due to navicular changes in both front feet, but she’s comfortable and easily managed on mild medication. Mystique was deeply loved by her previous owner and is now hoping for someone to call her their own again.
Caspian
Caspian — the gentle giant of our farm — is a calm, well-mannered draft gelding who brings steady comfort and dependable presence to every day. He’s patient, polite with other herd members, and extremely well behaved for his size. Caspian would thrive in a home with someone experienced with draft breeds and knowledgeable about lymphedema management, as that background will help keep him comfortable and healthy long-term. He’s a wonderful addition to any farm that can meet his needs and appreciates a big-hearted, easygoing partner.
Grace
Grace — Gentle Quarter Horse Mare Seeking Forever Home
Grace is a calm, affectionate Quarter Horse mare who loves attention and human company. Well-mannered and easy to handle, she enjoys grooming, and herd life but wants a special person to bond with.
Graces temperament is soft steady and affectionate. She is easy and safe to be around. She is great in a herd with both geldings and mares. Ideal for l anyone wanting a dependable, gentle companion.

Seneca
Seneca truly seems to adore Hope for Horses and has been a cherished resident with us for many years. We still can’t understand why she hasn’t found her forever home yet. She is a stunning Arabian mare with a gentle temperament who fits in wonderfully with any herd she joins, just don’t let her ears fool you! Seneca would be overjoyed to become a loving and loyal part of your family.

Adoptable horses are cared for by Hope for Horses until they find new homes. We directly oversee their care and, if applicable, their training through our training center. Horses available through our Horse Match program remain in their current owners care and remain in their current homes until a new one can be matched. All Horse Match applicants must coordinate directly with the current owners. Our Horse Match listings are a courtesy only. Please do not inquire with Hope for Horses about Horse Match listings.

Adoption fees range from $800-2500. This fee — as well as any and all donations — is tax-deductible. Fill out an Adoption Application for the horse you’re most interested in, and we’ll provide details about the adoption fee.

We require a signed statement ensuring that the horse can never be transferred, leased, given, or sold to anyone other than back to Hope for Horses. We also require the adopted horse to have a plan in the event of the adopter's death. This would either be returning the horse to Hope, or transferring it to another approved individual. We will make visits and require access to veterinary and farrier records to help assure that the horse is receiving the best care.
