Ellie is a lovely, 20 year old Thoroughbred mare. She is 16 hands tall and a dark bay with dapples. She is a very friendly, ridable mare. She loves trail rides! This lovely girl is looking for her forever home due to no fault of her own. Ellie would love to find an intermediate rider to call her very own!
This is what her owner has to say about her,”she is safe to ride- walk trot and loves trails! she is not okay being hitch tied- only cross tied. she does not like loading on the trailer, but with consistent work she does get better. she gets tense in the canter and with jumps so she is only safe for walk and trot and trails! she absolutely loves trail rides and will do the opposite of barn sour horses! she will get super slow and poky when she knows she’s headed back to barn! she has a previous and healed splint bone injury that can get swollen if stalled. she also broke her withers when she was hitch tied and flipped over on concrete- vet cleared her for all riding and has never had any issues with that.“
