Join Our Team - Volunteer With Us!
Hope for Horses has established guidelines and standards to provide for the safety and comfort of both volunteers and the horses in our care. All volunteers will begin by attending a volunteer orientation where we share some history of our organization as well as explain our Volunteer Guidelines and farm procedures. The orientation will answer most of your questions, however, we always encourage you to ask for clarification on any policy or procedure.
Volunteer shifts generally last 2 1/2-3 hours and consist of refreshing water, cleaning up after our horses, and light grooming. Volunteers will groom under direct supervision of a Lead Volunteer until he/she has attended our safety training and passed an assessment. Additional volunteer assistance is always needed with various barn/farm projects and fundraising events. Horse experience is a plus but not required.
Our volunteers have spent countless hours helping Hope for Horses and they are vital to our organization. We are always looking for volunteers! Interested? Complete the online volunteer application and our volunteer coordinator will reach out to you!
