Hope For Horses - Western North Carolina

We have a growing list of screened applicants interested in providing homes for all ages and types of horses. Many are looking for an older, gentle horse for a child. Others are looking for a companion for another animal. We even have people who just want to provide a safe, quiet retirement home.

Upon finding a suitable home, we provide a standard of care profile to fit the particular horse for the new foster owners to go by. We will make scheduled and unscheduled visits and require access to veterinary and farrier records to help assure us that the horse is receiving the best care. At any time, for any reason, the horse may be returned to Hope for Horses.

We also request a minimum adoption fee of $450 to $750 for ridable horses. There is a $150 adoption fee for companion horses. We require a signed statement ensuring that the horse can never be transferred, leased, given or sold to anyone other than Hope for Horses.

The safety and well being of our horses is paramount.

Horses Available for Adoption or Sponsorship

We have three groups of horses here at the farm. Some of the horses are in good health and are ridable, they just need a loving and permanent home. Others have medical conditions or are simply too old to ride and are available only as companion horses. They, like the ridable horses, need loving, permanent homes. The third group of horses are retired here at Hope for Horses and we have made the decision that moving them now would not be in the best interest of the horses. These horses are available for sponsorships only.

We also offer horses through our HorseMatch Program where we provide exposure and services to people looking or needing to find good homes for their horses. Through the program, horse owners are assured secure, loving homes for their animals. We do not sell horses through our HorseMatch program.
